Application for Admission New Student Recommendation Form
Please note that a separate application, recommendation form and application fee must be submitted for each student being considered for admission.
How we select our students:
In considering candidates for admission to East Academy, we consider five areas:
- Entrance evaluation results
- Personal interview with Head of School and/or Associate Head of School
- Most recent report card grades
- Recommendation from recent teachers
- Standardized test scores
Admission Process:
- Attend an Open House or schedule a personal tour. Out of state residents may be exempt from this requirement.
- Complete and return an application along with the non-refundable application fee.
- Submit a copy of your child’s most recent report card AND a copy of his/her most recent standardized testing scores. Sign the top portion of Recommendation Form and give it to a member of your child’s current or most recent teachers.
- Have your child undergo an admission evaluation. The admission office will contact you with a date and time of the evaluation dates once your application file is complete and all documentation has been received.
- Attend an interview with the Head of School and/or the Associate Head of School. The admission office will contact you to schedule this date and time.
- Receive a letter acknowledging completion of the admission process with notification that your completed admission file has been sent to the Admission Committee.
The admission committee meets once a month or more often when needed. Weighing all the factors, the Admission Committee will either:
- Admit your child
- Place your child on a wait list if his/her grade is full
- Deny admission at this time.
